They live in China, India, the Southern half of Africa, the British Isles and Southern Arabia. They are very good at adapting, and mainly are nocturnal. Some of the food they eat are gazelle, storks, baboons, jackals, wildebeest, reed-bucks, impalas, fish, and lots of other things too. Their lifespan is usually around 8 years. They can be 10 times stronger than humans! Males weigh from 80-198 pounds, and females weigh from 60-130 pounds. After mating, they have a gestation period of 90-105 days, and then they have 2-3 cubs. After 18-24 months, they leave to live on their own. They are very solitary and usually only get together to mate.
