The Fin whale is an fairly endangered animal. They are very large whales, and the ones that live in the northern hemisphere can be around 60 feet. The ones in the southern hemisphere tend to reach closer to 70 feet. It is the same for males and females. Fin whales can be found in all the major oceans, with water temps polar and tropical. Though the Fin whale can live in different temperatures, they are found more commonly in colder climates. The only known predator of the Fin Whale is the killer whale, and even so, there are not many sightings of attacks. The Fin Whale is a baleen whale, and it eats only small fish, squid and other little crustaceans. The gestation period for a calf is 11-12 months.

Fun fact: fin whales can live up to 140 years!

Colorpoint Shorthair

Taken by Wikipedia user Thisherodies.

These cats are cousins of the Siamese. They come in 16 colorpoint colors, unlike the Siamese 4, and are bred from American shorthairs and Siamese. These cats are very vocal, with more than 100 different sounds, and are very affectionate. Sometimes the males think another animal is invading their territory, and will get aggressive to the other creature.

A pretty calm looking Chausie.

The Chausie can be three colors. Black, brown ticked tabby, and black grizzled tabby. They were bred from the wild Jungle cat. Males are usually 9-15 pounds, and females 7-10. These cats are very active and athletic, and like most cats, pretty intelligent. However, these cats do not like to be left alone, so either have a human companion or other cat with them.

Burmese Cats

Two Burmese cats.

Burmese cats have gold or yellow eyes. They have a large variety of colors for their coat, although the first color was brown. They are very vocal cats, playful, and aren’t as independent as other cat breeds. This is one of those cat types where the cats like to sit right on top of whatever you might be doing. These cats have a longish lifespan, 16-18 years. They weigh from 4-6 kilograms.
