Chimpanzees live in West and Central Africa along the equator. Their head and body length is from 28-36 inches, and they weigh 57-115 pounds. Chimpanzees are omnivores, eating parts of plants, insects, and small animals. They live from 30-45 years in the wild, and about 60 years in captivity. Chimpanzees are fully grown at about a year, and their gestation period is from 230-240 days.
